October 28, 2021 - As part of the 8th edition of the Canada FinTech Forum, Jacques Deforges, Chief Executive Officer of Finance Montreal, announced the theme of Sustainable Finance & ESG for the second cohort of the Montreal Fintech Station Accelerator, powered by Highline Beta. This thematic cohort will be presented by TMX Group, member of Finance Montreal and partner of the Montreal FinTech Station. The application period opens today on October 28, 2021 and will close on December 9.

As the eight startups in the Accelerator's inaugural payments cohort, Harbr, Kalsa, Kunye, Leav, Reven AI, SparcPay, Trendigo and Truly Financial, end their four-month program with a pitch presentation on the main stage of the FinTech Forum, the team is already looking for start-ups whose solutions facilitate the integration of ESG into business decision-making.

The program will be seeking early stage North American startups making a tangible contribution to defining what ESG means for the financial services sector by offering innovative solutions, particularly in environmental finance, social finance and governance. Whether it focuses on crowdfunding or carbon accounting, financial literacy or non-traditional lending, ESG data analysis & artificial intelligence or proxy voting, what the Accelerator team is looking for is the software solutions that support these elements.
