Finance Montréal publishes a study on the match between the skills of PhDs and the needs of the financial sector in Quebec

Finance Montréal, in collaboration with Adoc Talent Management, a consulting firm specializing in the recruitment of doctors/PhDs, as well as various industry players, presents the research report titled "Finance : l’eldorado méconnu des titulaires de doctorat". This report examines the match between doctoral skills and the needs of the financial sector and sheds light on which doctoral profiles would be most relevant to the industry.

The results of this survey provide recruiters in the financial sector with precious information in the face of current recruitment challenges. It is also about providing PhD holders with interesting and fulfilling career prospects in finance. Structured around 6 chapters, this research report is based on a particular methodology combining data from an existing survey and newly collected data

During this webinar, organized by Finance Innovation, speakers from 3 continents (Montreal, Paris and Singapore) discussed the contribution that PhD holders can have for FinTechs.
First, we presented the evolution of human resources issues for the financial services sector in Quebec. A focus was made on the study carried out jointly with Adoc Talent Management on the employment of doctors in financial services companies in Canada. Adoc Talent Management has also proposed avenues for attracting talents in FinTech to areas of tension or even penury, such as AI. Finally, the Singaporean FinTech Upskils shared its feedback on the establishment of its R&D center in France and its strategy for acquiring PhDs.
